So last night we went to my cousin’s house for dinner. She has 4 “big boys” (as my little guys call them) so she is so very in tune with what kinds of things kids like. She told me about walking tacos, but I needed to see it to believe it. My kids LOVED them!! I am SO happy with the cool meal that she made that I wanted to share it with you!
Meat of choice (we did ground beef and ground chicken)
Taco fixings…sliced tomates, cheese, lettuce, olives, sour cream, salsa…whatever your family will eat
Personal size bags of chips (we used Fritos, Red and Blue bag Doritos)
- Cook meat according to directions on the Taco Seasoning bag.
- Slice, shred, cut all of the toppings and put out (we did bowls…see the pic above)
- Take your bag of chips and crunch them IN THE BAG. I found that I needed to open the bag a tiny bit to let the air out in order to crunch them without popping the bag because it starts to fill with air.
- Add meat and toppings TO THE BAG…and then eat OUT OF THE BAG with a fork!
These were so good, so easy, so fun and best of all?! Minimal clean-up!! (No dishes…just chuck the bag!!)
These would be GREAT for tailgating!
