So a few months back there was an incident at a local daycare center. I was SHOCKED at what happened, and if you heard about it I bet you were too. Well I am so glad to tell you that the daycare has been sold and is NOT CONNECTED with the old owners AT ALL!! I had the chance to meet with the new owners of Fontainebleau Children’s Academy and I was really impressed. Sara and Matt have experience in the business and already own Old Mandeville Preschool (which has a 5 star rating). They purchased the preschool last year and when they heard about all the problems at their newest spot, they knew they wanted to jump in and recreate a SAFE, EDUCATIONAL, FUN space for your child!

I took a tour and was very impressed with the way things are set up! Each age group has it’s own area. There is a “cafeteria” (kitchen) where kids will be served fresh meals based on things that they will eat! If you kiddo has allergies? That is no problem. They are allergy friendly! I also took a tour of the outside (where the pervious incident occurred) and the problem was remedied. I have also heard (and saw some pictures) that the old owners allowed their employees to have their phones on them…so guess what they were doing all day?! Yup, you guessed it…checking their phones. Under this new ownership, there is a no phone policy while with the kids. There is an awesome quiet break room though, so when staff is on break, they will be able to attend to their personal business. Speaking of staff, the new owners did NOT keep any of the old staff. They decided to clean house and begin fresh. They told me they were quick to fire and will be slow to hire. They want to teach their staff how to be the best at their job. There is constant monitoring of the kids. The playground area will ALWAYS be staffed with teachers that are watching the kids! I know this should go without saying, but you would be shocked about what goes on at some of these places. Glad to know that at this facility, they are already aware of this and intend to make sure they stay on top of it!!

Each classroom area of the facility is geared towards a specific age group. Kids will move up based on age and development. The owners are very educationally focused and they have a state approved curriculum. They also have library and tech time built in as well as a Spanish immersion program. The classes are broken down into different ages/ developmental levels. There is a young infants room, older infants room, 1 year olds (which will actually be split also), 2 year old, 3 year old and Pre-K. The Pre-K will practice skills to ensure the child is successful in Kindergarten!

The weekly tuition rates are as follows…Monday-Friday (open 7-6) for infants will be $209, for 1 and 2 year olds will be $179 and for Pre-K 3’s and Pre-K 4’s will be $159. For Mon, Wed and Fri 1 and 2 year olds will be $139, 3’s and 4’s will be $119 and for Tues and Thurs 1 and 2 year olds will be $109 and 3’s and 4’s will be $89. Weekly tuition fee includes meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks), in-house field trips, music and movement program, spanish immersion program, culinary arts program and naturally derived cleaning products. There is also an annual registration fee of $200. The registration fee includes craft supplies for the year and a Fontainebleau Children’s Academy shirt. **BONUS** As a special for our readers, mention you saw it here and you will get 50% off of the Registration fee!!

My family just moved to the Northshore from D.C. A few months ago. Since we are new to the area, finding the right childcare has been overwhelming to day the least. I’m excited about this facility because I can appreciate their transparency. I have been looking for childcare for my 3 year old that is close to home, affordable, has a great philosophy in regards to caring for kids. I’m excited to tour!

We are head over heels excited about the location, location, location! FCA really seems to have it all-dedicated staff, a diverse and well rounded education, and a safe environment for our littles. With a newly renovated inside and new management with experience and a name within our community it’s an easy decision. Looking forward to our new relationship with FCA!

Where do I begin, I’m so eager to find a great school for my infant, who is currently with a private sitter. I’ve been discouraged lately due to facilities either not having time to listen to my needs or with having no availability. Because my baby is most important, I’m taking my time and literally driving to the end of the earth daily, until I find a comfortable place that will give me peace of mind in knowing that he will looked after carefully and that coincides with my hectic, daily schedule. I believe in second chances and pray that this could be a great place for him in the near future. I’m excited that I stumbled upon this as God’s timing is everything. I can’t wait to tour and learn more about FCA!

I actually just sent them a Facebook message last week on pricing and I was super impressed with the quick response!! I’m currently looking for a job and just hoping they’re still spots available for my 2 little ones to attend when I am able to find one.

This new facility excites me the most due to the awesome new owners! By the great details you have given Fontainebleau Children’s Academy seems like a home away from home! That’s a great way for children to spend there days while parents work or even go to school!
